Flight by PC 12 and Robin to Dübendorf Visit Airforce Pilot-School.

Tuesday 19th July 2022

Guided tour through the city of Grenchen Dinner together with the President of the City of Grenchen, Mr François Scheidegger In the evening we will be guided by Beni Kissling to the moon and stars in our observatory "Jura Sternwarte"

Wednesday 20th July 2022

A further highlight will be the nuclear electric power plant in Gösgen. We have a special permission to be guided through the "hot" area of the nuclear-rector.

Thursday 21st July 2022

Today’s destination is the top of Switzerland; it’s called "Oberengadin". For the next five days we remain 1700 meters above sea level. The helicopter transfer is organized by the Swiss Air Force.

Friday 22nd July 2022

Soaring in the alpine scenery. Winch launches are offered by Engadin Airport company. Between the flights we visit the Helicopter Rescue Base (REGA) in Samedan.

Saturday 23rd July 2022

This morning we travel by rail to Morteratsch. From there we hike to the icy edge of the Morteratsch glacier for a geology lesson. Once back from the ice we have time for sightseeing, shopping and relaxing in the village of Pontresina.

Sunday 24th July 2022

Before Lunch we visit a classic openair concert in the woods of Pontreseina. By „Bernina Express“ we travel to Alp Grüm. From here we hike to Cavaglia. Here we visit the Glacier Garden with giant's cauldrons.
In the evening we climb by cable railway to Mouttas Muragl for dinner. There you enjoy an impressive view of St. Moritz and the lakes of Engadin.

Monday 25th July 2022

Transfer by Swiss Air Force Super Puma back to Grenchen.

Tuesday 26th July 2022

Early in the morning we prepare four hot-air balloons for a ride from the Airport Grenchen. In the dawn we lift off and drift away with the wind.
Again on ground we drive by car to Affoltern im Emmental to a marvellous hilly region and discover the production of a fameous Swiss Emmentaler.

Wednesday 27th July 2022

You are invited from Hugo Mathys Sightseeing flights over the Alps with Douglas DC-3 and Beech 18 After the Lunch in the Airport Restaurant Sion we fly back to Grenchen.

Thursday 28th July 2022

Today you have time to relax and to prepare your presentation for the farewell dinner. In the evening the farewell dinner begins, where the IACE cadets can present their experiences of this exchange.
